Through the Georgia R3 Initiative, GWF is working to recruit, retain, and reactivate hunters and shooters.

Over the past couple of decades, we have seen a shift the in the rural traditions, values, and beliefs that have formed the foundation of hunting in the United States. In Georgia, we are shifting with them by offering adult audiences with interest in hunting, but no avenue to pursue it, a chance to get out there. Read more at QDMA.

The Georgia R3 Initiative partnered with the Warnell School of Forestry and Natural Resources to host the inaugural Warnell Alumni and Friends Sporting Clays Tournament on April 21st. Learn more.

Georgia R3 LogoThe Georgia R3 Initiative is dedicated to the recruitment, retention, and reactivation (R3) of hunters and shooters. The goal is to develop and implement a plan that engages state agencies, conservation organizations and other stakeholders to increase the effectiveness of outdoor education and mentored hunting opportunities for people of all ages, genders, and abilities. Partners in this project include the Georgia Department of Natural Resources’ Wildlife Resources Division, National Wild Turkey Federation, Quality Deer Management Association, and Safari Club International.
